SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR 2024

Here is the Step-By-Step process to apply to Memorial High School and

St. Marys Community Foundation Scholarships.

Our scholarships are open to three different groups of students.


First are the graduating seniors at St. Marys.

Second are the St. Marys graduates attending college.

Third are the students from other area schools.


Check out the scholarships below of what we have to offer.

Scholarship applications will be due March 10, 2024.

  1. This page lists scholarships for three different groups of students

    scholarships available for St. Marys graduating seniors.
    Second, are the 
    scholarships for current St. Marys grads attending college.
    Third, are for several 
    scholarships open to students from area schools.
  2. You must have an email address to proceed.
  3. Review the qualifications for each scholarship carefully.
  4. Select the first scholarship you wish to apply for. You will be directed to a webpage that will give information about that scholarship. Go to “Apply online.”
  5. If you are a first time user, you will need to create an account and a password. This will allow you to return to this program at any time before the March 10, 2024 (midnight) deadline to make additions or corrections. Be sure to write down your password and login information for future reference. Return users from last year will use the same login and password as in the past.
  6. At this point, you will be directed to the common application. You will only need to complete this application one time for all the scholarships you apply for. You can partially complete this and return and complete it later as time permits. Items with a red star (*) are required. You will not be able to submit your application until those items have been completed. A reminder that you will need to attach your transcript where indicated.
  7. After you complete the application and section 11 for the individual scholarship, hit “submit” at the bottom. At this point, your common application is complete.
  8. To apply for additional scholarships, go back to the SMCF webpage and “click” on the next scholarship.
  9. You have the option to check “apply online” or “returning applicant.” Both will direct you to your login information.
  10. You will be directed to your common application that has been completed. You will then go to “create new application” for each new scholarship you apply for.
  11. Since this application has already been filled out, you will need to go to the bottom of each page and click “Next” to go to very bottom section of your application. This section (section 12) will have the information you need to complete for that individual scholarship you were applying for. When you complete that, hit “submit” to apply to that scholarship.
  12. To apply for additional scholarships, repeat instructions numbers 8 through 11 above.
  13. If you wish to review the scholarships you have submitted, go to www.scholarselect.com/my_applications and log in. This will give you a display of the scholarships you have applied for and status for each as to whether they have been submitted or still incomplete. You may click on each one to finish it then submit.
  14. Your email account will be sent an email each time you submit an application.
  15. If you have additional questions, email them to smcf@bright.net
  16. A reminder that applications for student educational loans for St. Marys and New Bremen students are also available on the SMCF website as well. The application process is the same as the scholarship application. Use the same login information.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATING SENIORS

St. Marys American Legion Post #323 Scholarship


Description: The scholarships will be granted to Memorial High School graduating seniors. The purpose of this scholarship fund is to aid and assist persons in educational pursuits beyond the High School level to apply towards a degree at an accredited college, university, or trade school. All High School graduates may apply for these scholarships, but extra consideration will be given to graduates whose parents or grandparents are members of the St. Marys American Legion Post 323.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior from MHS.

SMEA Tracy Anderson Memorial Scholarship (New)


Description: Tracy Anderson was an English teacher at Memorial High School for many years. To honor her, the family and the St. Marys Education Association have established this scholarship to support a student who embodies the same giving spirit that so many people identify with Mrs. Anderson. This scholarship will be applied to college tuition.


Requirements: Must be a graduating MHS senior.

Carl E. & Irene J. Bethers Scholarship


Description: Graduating senior who is involved in a variety of school and community activities and has a special financial need.

Doris Chivington Memorial Scholarship  (New)


Description: This scholarship is in memory of Doris Chivington who loved the St. Marys community and Memorial High School. She requested a scholarship be made available to two MHS seniors each year. The criteria for selection will be based on need and a desire to continue their education. 


** This scholarship is renewable for 3 additional years.


Requirements: Must be a Memorial High School graduating senior who will be entering college.

Christman, Falk, Heikamp Family Scholarship


Description: This scholarship is offered in memory of Stuart Christman who spent his entire career as a teacher and coach at Memorial High School. This grant is provided to seniors from Memorial High School who wish to further their education at a 2- or 4-year institution, obtain a technical/vocational/trade certification or professional license. The primary consideration will be to those with financial need.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior.

Class of 1965 Scholarship

Description: This scholarship is offered to Memorial High School graduates who are entering or returning to college in the fall. This scholarship is sponsored by the MHS Class of 1965 in honor of their 50th class anniversary.



Requirements: Must be a graduate of Memorial High School or current college student.

Class of 1967 Scholarship


Description: This scholarship is offered to Memorial High School graduating seniors and current college students. This scholarship is sponsored by the MHS Class of 1967.


Requirements: Must be a graduating Memorial HS senior or current college student.

Class of 1969 Scholarship

Description: This scholarship is offered to Memorial High School graduates and current college students. This scholarship is sponsored by the MHS Class of 1969.


Requirements: Must be a graduate of Memorial HS with preference given to a member of the Class of 2019.

Class of 1973 Scholarship

Description: This scholarship is offered to Memorial High School graduating seniors who are entering an Ohio college or trade school in the fall. This scholarship is sponsored by the MHS Class of 1973. Selection criteria includes: 50th percentile or higher in the class and college majors in one of the areas; trade school, of engineering, nursing, mathematics, computer science or business/finance/accounting.


Requirements: Must be a graduating Memorial HS senior.

Class of 1976 Scholarship

Description: This scholarship if offered to Memorial High School graduating seniors and current MHS graduates who plan to attend a traditional college, trade/technical school or an approved training and certification program in the fall. This scholarship is offered by the members of the Class of 1976. Qualities of school citizenship and community activities will be considered in the selection process. All majors of study will be considered. 


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior or current college student from Memorial High School.

Class of 1979 Scholarship


Description: This scholarship is offered to Memorial High School graduating seniors who are entering college in the fall. The MHS values of Academics, Athletic participation and community service will be the qualities important in the selection process. This scholarship is sponsored by the MHS Class of 1979.

Clausing Scholarship

Description: This scholarship is offered to any student who is or will be attending Oral Roberts University or

Liberty University.

Roland and Agnes Clausing Scholarship


Description: Scholarship grant for those studying medicine or medical

science research.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior or current college student.

Dessie & Louis Comus Scholarship


Description: Graduating senior wishing to pursue a degree to become an elementary classroom teacher; must show need and achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher on

a 4.0 scale.

Cura Personalis Scholarship


Description: Cura Personalis is a Latin phrase meaning "care of the whole person", and is a Jesuit educational tradition that attempts to cultivate students' social, emotional, physical, and ethical development to nurture empathy and a rich interior life with an ethic of service and caring. This grant is provided to Memorial High School seniors that have excelled in creating a balanced high school experience across academic success, athletic performance, and engagement in the arts - and will be pursuing a math, science, engineering or related major. Applicants need to have a 3.4 GPA to be eligible to apply.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior.

Jim and Louise Davis Memorial Scholarship


Description: This Scholarship is offered by the Davis family in memory of Jim Davis, former industrial technology teacher and State Representative from St. Marys. The grant is provided to seniors from Memorial High School who have an interest in pursuing a degree in art, interior design, engineering, industrial technology, or education at a four-year college or a technical/trade school. The scholarship is not based on GPA, but on a demonstrated strong work ethic and a desire to work in the construction industry, home design or education.


Requirements: Must be a graduating MHS senior.

Disabled American Veterans #119 Scholarship

Description: The purpose of this scholarship fund is to aid and assist persons in educational pursuits beyond high school level and also for persons who wish to attend trade schools or professional schools. It is also available for persons requiring additional learning skills for particular jobs or vocations, whether or not they have graduated from high school. All persons may apply for these scholarships, but first priority will be given to children or grandchildren of Disabled American Veterans, second priority to children or grandchildren of any American Veterans and third priority to other persons and high school graduates living in the school districts of Auglaize County.

Rob Deubler Memorial Scholarship


Description: This Scholarship is offered in memory of Rob Deubler, former teacher and football coach at St. Marys. The grant is provided to seniors from Memorial High School who have an interest in pursuing a college degree. Priority will be given to applicants who have lost a parent.

Eagles Aerie #767

Scholarship Grants


Description: These scholarship grants will be given to Memorial High School graduates and persons living in the St. Marys area enrolling in schooling beyond the high school level. Preference will be given to applicants whose parents or grandparents are current active members of Eagles Aerie #767.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior.

Dylan Everage Scholarship


Description: This Scholarship is offered in memory of Dylan Everage who was a member of the Class of 2015. The grant is provided to seniors from Memorial High School who have overcome obstacles in their goal to graduate from high school and wish to continue their education. The candidate may attend a two year, four year or technical college program.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior from MHS.

Bill Feth Memorial Scholarship



Description: This scholarship is offered in memory of Bill Feth who was a leader in establishing and promoting Girls Fastpitch softball in the Grand Lake area. This grant is provided to seniors from Memorial High School who have participated in the MHS Softball program and desires to continue their softball playing in college.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior.

First Friends Church Scholarship


Description: This scholarship is offered to seniors and graduates of Memorial High School who will be attending college full time. The intent of the scholarship will be to support students who plan to enter the ministry field and/or full-time students who plan to do a mission trip while in college. Qualities of faith, community service, and school involvement will weigh heavily in the selection process.


Requirements: Must be a graduate from MHS and be a full-time college student.

Jarrett Fowler Scholarship

Description: This Scholarship is offered in memory of Jarrett Fowler. The grant is provided to seniors from Memorial High School who have at least a 3.0 GPA and will be attending a four year college or a 2.5 GPA for students attending a trade/technical school. The scholarship will be based on academic merits and those majoring in the field of electronics, mechanical engineering or education.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior.

Foxhoven Family Scholarship

Description: The grant is provided to seniors and college students from Memorial High School who have an interest in pursuing a career in a social helping profession or a criminal justice, law enforcement career from an accredited institution.


Requirements: Must be a Memorial HS graduating senior or college student.

Description: Scholarships available to graduating seniors pursuing post-secondary studies and is in need of financial assistance.

Bill & Marge Glaser Memorial Scholarship

Description: This scholarship is offered in memory of former St. Marys business owners, Bill and Marge Glaser who owned the St. Marys Market. The basis of this award will be with an emphasis of a demonstrated strong work ethic, generous spirit and service for school, family and community. Financial need will also be factored and considered. This scholarship applies to students attending a two or four year college program.


Requirements: Must be a graduating Memorial HS senior.

Family Scholarship

Description: This scholarship is available to graduating seniors going into medicine, nursing, rehabilitation therapist, pharmacy, medical technician or other related medical field.

Bob Hensley Memorial Scholarship


Description: The Bob Hensley Memorial Scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Memorial High School. The grant is provided to seniors who will attend a college, university, or technical school. This scholarship is intended for students who were a member of the band program while in high school. Music participation is not a college requirement..


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior from Memorial High School and a member of the MHS band program.

Holy Rosary PTO Scholarship


Description:  Applicant must be an 8th grade graduate of Holy Rosary School; must have demonstrated a dedicated service to the Holy Rosary Parish/School.

Jace and Thomas Howard Scholarship

Description: This Scholarship is offered in memory of Jace and Thomas Howard. Eligible graduating senior(s) who demonstrate school and community leadership and a strong academic record should apply.

Andrew Howick Memorial Scholarship


Description: Graduating senior with preference given to students enrolled at Ohio University; preference also given to applicant who is active in DECA and golf in high school.

Fred Jay Hullinger Scholarship

Description:  The recipient of the Fred Jay Hullinger Memorial Scholarship is someone who is there for his/her friends, teammates, and/or community. The applicant may not be a star athlete, may not be an athlete at all, but rather someone who steps up and fills in when it’s needed the most. A person who volunteers, fills gaps, puts in the extra effort to help make their school and community a better place and help friends and fellow citizens enjoy life with a helping hand. The relationships built in the volunteerism process are priceless and these are what will validate each applicants’ entry. The Roughrider tradition is built upon excellent values.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior from Memorial High School.

JTD Hospital Foundation Nursing Scholarship (New)

Description: This scholarship is for a graduating senior, current college student or adult returning to school to study nursing. Candidate must be an Auglaize or Mercer County resident. Applicants plan to attend an accredited college and pursuing a nursing degree. Not financial need based.


Requirements: Graduating senior, current nursing college student, or adult returning to school who is a resident of Auglaize or Mercer counties or graduated high school in those counties. This scholarship requires two (2) letters of recommendation and Requires an in-person interview with the selection committee. “In-person interview will be Saturday, April 6, 2024. Applicants will be notified of a time."


**This is a renewable scholarship.

Koch Family Scholarship

Description: The grant is provided to seniors and college students from Memorial High School who plan to attend a college or trade or technical school. Applicants need to have a 3.00 GPA and a financial need to apply.

Description: The scholarship will be granted to a student enrolled at an accredited college or university to study in the fields of Education, Horticulture/Floriculture, Home Economics/Human Ecology or Engineering.

Description: Scholarship grant for those studying to become a priest, nurse or study medicine.

Live Like Jersey Scholarship (New)

Description: The Live Like Jersey Scholarship, was created to honor and celebrate the joy and love of the life of Jersey Poff. This scholarship is offered to graduates of Memorial High School who will be attending college. Those who have the qualities of kindness, compassion, generosity, and selflessness are encouraged to apply.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior from Memorial High School.

The Lynch Family and Friends Second Chance Scholarship

Description: The purpose of the Lynch Family and Friends Second Chance Scholarship is to provide financial support to individuals who have earned their high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Test towards their post-secondary education tuition. The spirit of the scholarship is to support individuals who may have struggled in a traditional high school setting, but have overcome those struggles and now wish to pursue their education further in a post-secondary educational program.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior of Memorial High School or Wapakoneta HS or GED degree and will be attending a post-secondary program at an accredited college or tech school or approved adult education program.

Don Martin Memorial Scholarship


Description: This Scholarship is offered in memory of Don Martin who was a Roughrider sports fan, radio sports color analyst, and a youth athletic coach in St. Marys. He touched the lives of so many young people in the St. Marys area and promoted the qualities of sportsmanship and team participation. The grant is provided to seniors from Memorial High School who have demonstrated academic achievement and for demonstrated accomplishments in interscholastic athletics. Qualities of school activities and community participation are also significant in the selection of the candidate.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior.

Dru Martin Memorial Scholarship


Description: The scholarship is offered in memory of Dru Martin, 1983 valedictorian of Memorial High School. This scholarship is provided to seniors from Memorial High School who have interest in pursuing a college degree. Priority will be given to applicants who are a cancer survivor.


Requirements: Must be a graduating Memorial HS senior.

M.A.V. Youth Mentoring Scholarship


Description: The MAV Youth Mentoring Scholarship is offered to graduating seniors who have been involved in the MAV Youth Mentoring program while in school. This scholarship is open to any graduating senior who was either a big brother/sister or little brother/sister in the Auglaize, Mercer or Van Wert County area. The scholarship is offered to those individuals who will be entering college or technical school and seeking a degree in any major. 


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior from Auglaize, Mercer, or Van Wert Counties and was involved in the MAV Youth Mentoring program either as a “little” or “big”.

Monfort Family McDonalds Restaurant Scholarship

Description: This scholarship is offered to Memorial High School graduating seniors who are entering college in the fall. This scholorship is sponsored by the St. Marys McDonalds Restaurant and the Monfort Family. Students who will be majoring in business and/or are employees of the St. Marys McDonalds would be considered but not necessarily a requirement to be selected.


Requirements: Must be a graduating Memorial HS senior.

Medic Search Scholarship - Loan


Description: Community-minded citizens have donated funds to the Foundation to provide financial assistance to high school graduates who want to pursue a higher education for a healthcare career. Upon graduation from a healthcare academic program, the scholarship recipient is required to work for two years (after appropriate licensure is received) at a healthcare facility in Auglaize County. Examples would be Hospital, Nursing Home, Physician Office, and Pharmacy. After working one year in an Auglaize County healthcare facility, 50% of the loan/scholarship will be forgiven. After working two years in an Auglaize County healthcare facility, 100% of the loan/scholarship will be forgiven. If the recipient fails to work at a healthcare facility in Auglaize County, the grant will be considered a loan that must be repaid to the St. Marys Community Foundation. The loan must be repaid within a 3 year period from date of notice that recipient has failed to meet the above requirement. Interest (at the rate of 4%) will accrue, and loan repayments will begin 90 days after notice of failure to meet requirements of the grant.

St. Mary Chamber of Commerce/Summerfest Scholarship (New)
Description: The St. Marys Chamber of Commerce/SummerFest Community Service Scholarship is offered in memory of Dave Masonbrink and Jersey Poff. Both individuals contributed to the St Marys Community through volunteerism. Dave Masonbrink for his 40+ years of service to the St Marys SummerFest committee. The scholarship is also in remembrance of Jersey Poff who was the Little Miss SummerFest in 2019. Although her life was short, Jersey contributed to the St Marys community with her acts of kindness and volunteerism. This scholarship is for a graduating MHS senior or current college student who plan to attend an accredited college and/or trade or technical school program. The scholarship criteria will be based on grades, activities, jobs, with a heavy emphasis on community service.


Requirements: This scholarship is offered to MHS graduating seniors and current MHS college students.

St. Marys Memorial High School Alumni Foundation Scholarships


Description: The St. Marys MHS Alumni Foundation will offer a total of five (5) scholarships to: two (2) graduating seniors who plan to attend college, one (1) graduating senior who plans to attend a trade or technical school, one (1) current college student who plans to continue to attend college, and one (1) MHS alumni who is pursuing a post-college degree. These are general scholarships open to all MHS graduates.


Requirements:  Must be a graduating Memorial HS senior, a current college student who graduated from Memorial HS, or a MHS alumni pursuing a post-college degree.

Minster Bank Scholarship


Description: Graduating senior who plans to attend college in business, accounting or finance; recipient plans to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree with a major in business at an accredited community, private, or public university.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior.

The Music Grant


Description: The Music Grant is available to a graduating St. Marys Memorial High School senior who will be enrolled at a college or university in the next year after high school. Applicants will be participants in the music curriculum at that institution in such activities as band, choir, orchestra, or private lessons. However, students do not need to be music majors to qualify for the grant. He or she must have been active in the MHS bands or choirs during some or all of his or her high school years.

Parker Hannifin Scholarship


Description: This is a general scholarship award open to all graduating seniors pursuing a post-secondary education.

Sharon Pendleton Thiesen Scholarship Fund


Description: This scholarship is offered in memory of Sharon Pendleton Thiesen. This grant is provided to seniors from Memorial High School who wish to further their education at a 2- or 4-year institution, obtain a technical/vocational/trade certification or professional license. The primary consideration will be to those with financial need and who were active in the High School music and theater programs.


Requirements:  Must be a graduating senior.

Dee Dee Persinger Nursing Scholarship


Description: The scholarship shall be used to apply towards a degree at an accredited community college or a college/university in the field of nursing. The student selected shall have a special financial need and a strong desire to succeed in the nursing profession.


Requirements:  Must be a graduate of Memorial High School, at least a second-year college student and accepted to the nursing program at the university.

Landen Philpot Nursing Scholarship (New)


Description: This scholarship is for a graduating senior, current college student or adult returning to school to study nursing. Candidate must be an Auglaize or Mercer County resident. Plans to attend college and pursue a nursing degree with an interest in obstetrics or pediatric nursing. This scholarship is not financial need based.


Requirements: Graduating senior, current nursing college student, or adult returning to school who is a resident of Auglaize or Mercer counties or graduated high school in those counties. This scholarship requires two (2) letters of recommendation and Requires an in-person interview with the selection committee. “In-person interview will be Saturday, April 6, 2024. Frances L. Pyles Spirit of St. Marys Scholarship


Description: This scholarship is offered in memory of Frances Pyles to honor the countless hours she gave to the St. Marys community and Memorial High School. The scholarship committee will place special focus on those students with a minimum of a 3.00 GPA who are planning to further their education at a four-year college, community college, or technical or trade school and have given to their community through service to others or traveling abroad to build global connections.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior.

Roughrider Touchdown Club Scholarship


Description: This scholarship is offered in memory of former Roughrider Coach, Skip Baughman. The grant shall be issued to a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School who plans to earn a post-secondary degree. The criteria for selection is for individuals who plan to pursue a college degree and participated and lettered on the Memorial High School Roughrider Football Team. Extra consideration will be given to a football player whose parent(s) or grandparent is a member of the Touchdown Club.


Requirements: Must be a graduate who played football and attended Memorial High School.

SMEA Sharon Dicler Memorial Scholarship


Description:  This scholarship is for those who intend to major in Education.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior. 2.5 min. GPA.

St. Marys-Awaji City Scholarship


Description: A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a student who was a St. Marys-Awaji City Youth Delegate and planning to attend or already enrolled in an accredited four-year institution, trade school, technical school, or certificate program. Scholarship is open to any year of college. Selection also based on character, academic performance, work ethic, and community involvement.


Requirements: Must be a graduate of Memorial High School or a current MHS college student.

Description: The Tim Smith Memorial Scholarship, sponsored by the St. Marys Ministerial Association, is offered in memory of Tim Smith, former Pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in St. Marys. Jerry L. Shelby Scholarship


Description: Jerry L. Shelby will offer a total of three (3-$2,000.00) scholarships to Memorial High School and New Knoxville High School graduates.


Two scholarships will be for the St. Marys current college students; one for a person graduating from a community college or continuing to a four-year college after two years, and the second one for a person continuing after two years and pursuing a degree in a four-year college.


The third scholarship would be for a New Knoxville High School student that is graduating from a community college or continuing to a four-year college after two years or continuing after two years and pursuing a degree in a

four-year college.


College students who are returning to college to complete their degree are encouraged to apply. The degree should be for business, education (teacher), or health (nurse or medical field). A 2.5 GPA is required. A student that is involved in community service is preferred, but not a requirement. Recipients' after graduation are encouraged to donate back to the fund so others can be helped.

Description: This Scholarship is offered in memory of St. Marys attorney Barry Kemp. Barry was an active member of the St. Marys community and instrumental in creating the St. Marys Sister City organization with Awaji, Japan. The grant is provided to current college sophomores and juniors who graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School. Priority for selection will be to a student who participated in the Sister City exchange program to Japan while in junior high or high school. The third scholarship would be for a New Knoxville High School student that is graduating from a community college or continuing to a four-year college after two years or continuing after two years and pursuing a degree in a four-year college.

College students who are returning to college to complete their degree are encouraged to apply. The degree should be for business, education (teacher), or health (nurse or medical field). A 2.5 GPA is required. A student that is involved in community service is preferred, but not a requirement. Recipients’ after graduation are encouraged to donate back to the fund so others can be helped.

Requirements: Must be a community college graduate or current college student from Memorial HS or New Knoxville High School who is pursuing a technical/associate/4-yr. college degree.

USW Local 200L Scholarship


Description: To be eligible for this scholarship, your parent or guardian must be a member in good standing of the USW Local 200L  (Loc Performance – formerly Continental). There will be two scholarships offered to seniors – one to a four year college and one to a technical/associate degree program.


Requirements: Must be a graduating high school senior.

VFW Scholarship - Robert Lee Griner VFA Post 9289


Description: The scholarships will be granted to students graduating from High School this year that seek to continue their education. The purpose of this scholarship fund is to aid and assist persons in educational pursuits beyond the High School level to apply towards a degree at an accredited college, university, or trade school. All High School graduates may apply for these scholarships, but extra consideration will be given to graduates whose parents or grandparents are members of the St. Marys Veterans of Foreign Wars Robert Lee Griner Post 9289.


Requirements: High school seniors or current college student.

Zion Lutheran Full-Time Scholarship


Description: This scholarship is offered to both seniors and college students who are confirmed members of the Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys. Basis of this award will be with participation of weekly worship attendance at Zion or a college congregation of at least 25 Sundays in the year. 


This scholarship is potentially renewable.


Requirements: Must be a graduating senior or college student who is a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys

FOR SCHOLARSHIP AWARD RECIPIENTS

If you have been notified that you have received a scholarship from one of the funds administered by the St. Marys Community Foundation, Memorial High School or several of the other scholarship sources.....CONGRATULATIONS! That is quite an honor and you and your family should be proud of your accomplishments.


Those who are selected for one of the many scholarships will be notified in several different ways. Seniors from Memorial High School will receive word at the awards program of your selection. Others will be notified by mail and will be invited to a program in July to receive your check. Seniors from other school districts will be notified by their home school.


Scholarship grants will be made payable to both the student recipient and the college listed on the application. If that college choice has changed, let the Foundation know of that change before the program event.


And one more important request...please send a Thank You note to the person or family that provided your scholarship. It is always appreciated and valued by them! Please send the note to the St. Marys Community Foundation address at 206 East Spring Street, St. Marys, OH 45885 or the donor listed on your award letter. Most individuals who create a scholarship fund have no involvement with the selection process and have not read your application. They truly enjoy reading notes from recipients!
